Richard Segalman jokes that in addition to being the first Jewish painter of Naples, he may be the first gay painter of Naples. From his first exhibitions in his family’s bar in 1955, where his drawing sold for $5 to acquisition by the Metropolitan Museum of Art in his native New York City, Richard’s journey is as exciting and memorable as his art.
