Rosner loved to socialize, but quickly found that her new hometown of Marco Island, which was then being developed by the Deltona Corporation, had neither Temple nor Jewish Community Center planned. There were, however, some plots reserved for Churches. Elena and a handful of Marco Island’s Jewish residents spent some of the 1980’s making sure that the new residents had a place of Jewish worship.
